just another 3 games. what are the rules? can we secure a season long loan after this one, even though it's outside the window? or will he definitely go back now, once it's finished?
Pretty sure we can't extend it after this. Not sure if we can maybe make it permanent, if the agreement is in place now.
Don't know much about this but glancing at the rules there doesn't seem to be anything that would stop us going for another emergency loan after this. I'd guess this might be something to do with Burnley wanting to be able to recall him if needed. Don't think you can recall standard loans so probably suits them to make this an emergency loan. Presume we'll go back in for another 93 days to get us to end of season once this is up Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
What chance of Burnley cancel his contract after 19th nd we get him permanently? Isn't he 4th or 5th choice cb now at turf moor?
Apologies. Duff info in my previous post: *The cumulative total number of days of all Emergency Loans of one Player to the same Club may not exceed 93 days (unless extended by The League in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 53.3.12).* Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
53.3.12** *The League shall have discretion to extend the maximum duration of 93 days for an Emergency Loan in extenuating circumstances, such circumstances to be determined in The League's absolute discretion.* Or in other words if worst comes to worst we wheel Barry Taylor and his biscuit barrel out to go do some influencing Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Haha good old Baz! Hopefully the club have a plan to deal with this. If I can see how important Long is to us, I'm sure LJ will know. Thank for the info.
If what Retired Red quotes is accurate, then surely he's a free agent after 19 February so available for us (or anyone else) to sign.
Have no idea how accurate is Transfer.com that Retired Red cites - but it would be nice if it was the case !
Yep: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11708/9634277/premier-league-burnley-defender-kevin-long-signs-new-contract
Just had another look and it definitely states Feb 19th as end of Burnley contract. Though it wouldn't be the first time that duff info gets put on the net
Hopefully it's a way of Wolves ridding themselves of having to pay up the remainder of his current contract allowing someone else (Us ?) to sign him - let's see.............
