It’s the difference between those who can show ‘a bit of class’ and those who just can’t manage it. Will be interesting to see the reaction to AH when he returns with Sunny. Anyone who thinks he doesn’t deserve huge respect for what he did for this Cub shouldn’t bother turning up. imho
When he lines up on east stand side at the start of either half and tosses his water bottle to towards the advertising hoardings (normal routine) I expect him to get a rapturous round of applause. I’ll be on my feet, no doubt about that.
Are you joking, he was going to be the next baresi if you listened to some of the informed on here. Still liked the fellow though for playing as expected whilst here
Noticed he was talking to Davies a lot at the end who if I’m not wrong is the only member of the squad still here from his spell with us. If Jackson turns down a contract or Lindsay/Pinnock leave I’d love him back
I honestly believe he was as responsible for our change in fortunes, that season, as Hammill was. We were toothless going forward and woeful at the back. Then Long came in and shored up the defence, and the whole dynamics changed, not least thanks to AH and his magic at the other end of the pitch.
I think it's also the difference between those who remember a player and those for whom the endless supply of short term loaners who played a handful of games for us anfew years ago have meant it's hard to remember the significance of every single one of them sadly
