I have just listened to Keith's after match comments, which have been posted on the BBC web site. He seems to be having another go at the fans. However, there do not seem to be any digs back on this forum. Could it be that everything is OK because we are now winning? Victories = Thicker skins or we only moan when we're losing.
he does not have a dig at the fans he says that when we got pegged back last night he thought there was a bit of frustration and asked that in similar circumstances people keep the faith a bit. That's absolutely fair enough and given what he's doing for us so far this season on no money I am more than willing to accept that he speaks his mind a little more than previous managers. I for one wasn't moaning when he had a dig at the fans booing early on because then I thought it was harsh and much too early to judge and I won't be moaning at him now. Maybe folk should get behind KH and get behind the team instead of trying to pick holes in everything.
I mentioned it here........ http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?160748-keith-hill-on-talksport-in-a-min
Or could it be that it wasn't a dig at the fans but a genuine observation ? ipso facto there's **** all to have a go back about.
Me too. I cant say there is anything in his interview that would even register as having a go but then again nothing he has said so far has bothered me at all (with the exception of the post match comments after the Bristol City game that I thought were a bit wide of the mark). I know some seemed to have a problem with what he had to say but they were in the minority and they do seem to have gone a bit quiter recently.
I think most people have missed the point of Red Rain's post He wasn't really suggesting that Keith Hill was having a go at the fans. He's never complained about what Keith Hill has said before, so I don't think he's going to start now. He was having a dig at people like me who have complained at what Keith Hill has said in the past, suggesting that if we were annoyed before then we should be now and because we're not we're a right bunch of fickle b.stards. Maybe he's right. Or maybe there really isn't anything in this interview to take exception to this time. Personally I think it's the latter.
Re: listened to it again and read your post again, conclusion..you are a **** Probably for the first time ever I'm agreeing with a post by dragon tyke!! Il get down the doctors for the tablets sharp ish
Re: listened to it again and read your post again, conclusion..you are a **** Keith Hill is not having a 'dig' at Barnsley fans. This is all.
Re: listened to it again and read your post again, conclusion..you are a **** I agree with Keith. I was disappointed with a lot of our fans last night. Even before they equalised the atmosphere was shocking. And once a decent Palace side got their goal, a growing number of impatient home fans had me in despair with their incessant instructions, moans and groans. Either get behind em or let em play. Any slight mistake and its jumped on. Which is shocking after everything thats been achieved. 2nd half was spot on mind. Just wish it was for the full 90
Re: I think most people have missed the point of Red Rain's post See! I said that you are intelligent.
Re: I think most people have missed the point of Red Rain's post or maybe it was just chuffing FREEZING last night
I've listened to it after I read your post, I think most people have now accepted that Keith talks gibberish when he is referring to the fans
I heard the interview also, and Keith is absolutely right. It p***ed me off last night - 1-1, us keeping possession and then it started - the moans and groans and unrest were a gnat's testicle away from becoming louder, disruptive and damaging. When will people learn that they can't have everything thay want right here right now!!!! Football fans are notoriously fickle. Our moaners and groaners are amongst the worst I have come across in my 50 years watching the game. Great to see all the positive comments on here about Hillcroft - must say however, disappointing to see that people didn't trust him earlier in the season. Also no surprise that those who were most vociferous are noticeable by their absence. A holes. Patience is key. I've said it since his appointment. When he talks about the DNA of our club, he means us too. So, let's see what happens when we hit a rocky patch. Will you new passengers on the Hillcroft Express still be singing his praises the? Somehow I doubt it.
Truely astonishing post....I am beginning to think Hill is Paul McKenna in disguise....talk about brainwashed.....on the other hand you could be Keith Hill !!!
