How do you feel the window has gone? Two strikers, a CM and RB have come in. Williams, Mads and Kitching all extended, and apart from Aitchison none of what i would call ‘first xi’ have left.
Unless I've missed anything I don't think it's fair to call them extensions. Don't get me wrong I'm glad they're here for another year but they haven't extended, the club just exercised the already agreed option in the contract. The players didn't have a choice in the matter
Might be semantics. Extension clauses have been triggered to keep them with us until the end of next season. And none of them have been sold.
Dont worry, its the correct term. They've literally been extended. People just pick at it to have a go at club. All you had to do was read the article but people on twitter saying club is trying to pull wool over eyes and taking us for mugs due to title of article... Yawn.
Their stay has been extended but their contract hasn't. I don't think the club are trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes or anything, but I think waxing lyrical about it is a bit silly. It was always going to happen and the players had no say in the matter so it's no indication of them wanting to stay. They will probably be sold in the summer if they don't sign a new deal, as they will then be down to 1 year (which imo is the reason the clause exists. to make some money back rather than let them go for free) and folk on here will probably be annoyed saying stuff like "didn't they sign a new contract in January".
If only more people had your perspective on twitter bud. Its really starting to grate on me on there. The contradictions from people are bewildering
