is he not on on swimming leave? Even he thinks he is close with our history of getting rid of the gaffer and his recent poor record. Lets hope this learning curve is going to straighten off pretty soon to calm us all down a bit.
KHiller? Do you expect him to work miracles in his first season in charge? Fair enough, we have played some pretty awful football recently BUT, can you not remember the football we played before Xmas? We have lost key players and Keith will most likely be pissed off like we all are, but don´t expect him to take us into the top half of the league so easily. If you look over the past seasons whulst we have been in the Championship-Keith is doing no different, we have always been where we are in the league and stayed away from relegation. Keith is putting in 100 per cent and some fans will always expect BFC to magically go back to the Premierleague. We won´t! YOU REDS
Think you might have put that in wrong place fella. Have called him KHiller from day 1. I have said many times throughout the season that our league position and goals for and against was almost a mirror image of Robins last season and was told that was not the case, with varied reasons why things were different. Then the point about magically going back to the Premier League ,I dont expect that and wont see it again in my life time, but it wont stop me going to watch them if I have the funds to be able to do so. Yes he has lost players and has/had injuries to contend with but that is part and parcel of the job he applied for knowing the budget and knowing that we are a selling club.
Without that HOPE of returning to the Prem, there is no POINT in carrying on. At every level of football, clubs and supporters HOPE to move higher. Look at AFC Wimbledon. What was it 10 years ago when they held trials in the park and this season they are back in the league. That is HOPE for you. If we lose that HOPE, which I fear many are, then that is what will cripple the club. There is big difference between HOPE and EXPECTATION.
I hope every time we have a game but the expectation is completely different. It will cripple the club if the young uns cant see any progress whereas the older you get you recall seeing it all before and things going round in circles.
But that's because people are getting bored with relative success. Which is unfair on the club really. If when we were close to relegation to League Two on the last day of the season in 2004 (?) someone had said by 2012 we would have had 5 years in the Championship without relegation and an FA Cup semi final we would have snatched their hand off
Oh yes I agree, but it all relative and many can't see it getting any better any time soon. Just more of the same.
Every season in this league is a bonus you just have to remember how long it took us to get out of League One for us not to go back there and the standard of football we had to endure.
