ARSENAL are tracking Burnley’s England U-21 right-back Kieran Trippier, a former Manchester City trainee.

Not surprised, I said before Burnley bid for him that we should have stumped up the money, as we'd have almost certainly made a profit.

    Class player.

But developed under Robins, so it does not count does it?

I'd not hold my breath if I were you...

Might be getting confused - didn't he come at back end of Davey's reign but get injured ? Or was it Robins' first season ?

No he didn't. I seem to remember everyone thinking he was a very good player, he was excellent at getting forward though so some may have suggested he play in front of sir bob, which he did on a fair few occasions and did well.

I'm not surprised either; just another name on the list of players that we let slip.

I always thought that he was a bit small. We were always vulnerable to the far post ball, and he has not lost this vulnerability. This is why Hill played Davies wide left when we played Burnley at Oakwell last year.

Slaughtered - loads of times 'we should play him as a winger cos he cant defend'

'He is not as good as Booby' etc

Folks wanted him to play RM instead of Jimbob because he were putting in far better crosses.

I remember people on here moaning when we signed him too, after his unmemorable loan spell.

Just shows that some of the people on here know everything

    Wouldn't go that far

Nowhere near, but there were definitely plenty who thought he should be played right midfield because he wasn't that good defensively.
