Kilburn next Sunday, anyone?

Decided I'm heading there for pre-match refreshments. Some decent boozers on the High Rd these days and Wembley is just 16 mins away by Silverlink train. Plenty of offstreet parking near the station - residents permits but not at weekends. Handy for the M1 afterwards - straight up Cricklewood Broadway.

Aye good night out in Kilburn. Stay somewhere near the tube/overland station and visit Powers Bar, North London Tavern or The Bronze Age ...... all within a stones throw. Should have a good night.

 

stopped in Kilburn last time a wembley,I think we were boozing in the Coopers arms

 

Top pub in Kilburn....The KINGDOM....last time we were there we were lucky to get out before 3am...great place

 

Still not decided, mate.

Kids have got school the next day, so figured they'd get more chance of a bit of kip in the car than on some charabanc. I'll let you know, but hadn't forgotten about the coach seat - either way that's still yours if you want it.

I unpacked my troubles
from an old Safeways bag
underneath Cardboard City lights
these two characters bought me supper
and they gave me some fags
and I settled down for the night

and I dreamt I was drunk
on a tropical ocean
sailing home to the missus in Kilburn
and there on my bunk
were all her letters of devotion
with some drawings and kisses
from the children

And I dreamt I was an artist
like Toulouse-Lautrec or Manet
drinking like a Barsteward in Madrid
instead of underneath the arches
with Flanagan and Allen
not a million miles from Chelsea bridge

And then I woke up from my dreams
the neighbours heard the screams
and all the stray dogs
were barking at the smell
those two scumbags had come back
with some matches and some petrol
set fire to my bed and left me burning
IN HELL!
