Was a bit unsure beforehand but they were great tonight. Pet Shop Boys were belting and This Charmkng Man is one of my favourite songs. Don't think it was in the same league as Stormzy last night which will go down as one of the all time great Glastonbury headliners but definitely a safe pair of hands
All time great? He’ll barely be in the top three Pyramid stage headliners this year... Liked his comparison of himself to Bowie too. So modest. Don’t actually mind him, and he did a competent job. But all time great? Not for me.
Killers bore the tits off me, I can certainly see how and why people like them though sleaford mods were on at shangrala at the same time I’d have probably gone there
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he is or will be an all time great in any way, but the set felt like something special. I'm pretty certain it's one that will be referred back to in future years.
I have no idea who he is, but going on the name alone I'm thinking white, pianist, show tunes. Am I close?
More classically trained. His performance of the Minute Waltz supported by the BBC Philharmonic is a joy to behold
Kiss me with your mouth Your love is better than wine But wine is all I have Will your love ever be mine. The 80s were brilliant. Even the crap songs were amazing.
Cheers but I would class them as rock/heavy rock. Never heard of Stephen Duffy but had a quick listen, Metal????
It was a very lame joke on my part. You asked about metal and I offered up steel, iron, led (lead) and tin...tin.
Just had a listen to the song posted on the other thread. Gospel, which I wasn't expecting. I'm guessing not representative of most of his work though?
He pretty much sings about Christianity, his name is a reference to the dark clouds that often descends on mankind ie wars and disasters, plus he hates profanity of any kind,
