Bagged a hattrick tonite against bangor typical http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-post.asp?fid=1&action=writenew&displaytype=threaded theres the proof
Think we all knew it was going to happen. OK Bangor aint the best side but it just shows that given the opportunity to play he could find the back of the net. Suppose we can all just keep think what if...... But we will never know just what he could have done for us last season.......
typical..not the first time barnsley have released players that is good and scored alot of goals.. don´t think christensen got any chance at barnsley to show how good he is.
He scored a few goals in the reserves. Which quality wise is the same as playing Bangor City. Looks like people are comparing apples with oranges here.
Im not saying he would have scored loads for the first team, it just would have been nice for him to get the chance... At most clubs scoring quite a few for the reserves normally gets you a run out for the first team but not at Oakwell last season....
Hardly indicative of talent though. I reckon me and Addio in his plus fours and using only a pitching wedge could give Bangor a run for their money.
Okay he knew where the net was but....... You've gotta ask why he only managed to play last 5-10minutes of games. Yes he gave it his all, but the guy looked absolutaly knackered. I remember reading a story on SS about him being in hot water with a previous manager having returned to training from summer break overweight and unfit, he didn't play for the club again and was sold on the cheap. He maybe a potential talent, however, it is clear he has two key problems i.e. fitness and attitude.
RE: Okay he knew where the net was but....... Why he only played last 5-10 mins of games was possibly because he scores hatricks in 9 minutes.
Did we?
Few glimpses of him that I saw, he looked useless!
I think now he's scored a hat-trick against a crap team everyone's convinced he's class. Then again, most people had come to that conclusion without seeing him anyway.

RE: Okay he knew where the net was but....... Exactly
And anyway, he wasn't THAT prolific in the reserves. We've had plenty who can score plenty in reserves and then look utter crap in the first team

RE: Okay he knew where the net was but....... You only find that out when you play them in 1st team over a period. From what I saw of him he scored equaliser at Charlton, did ok at Hillsboro bringing ball down and squaring it to Devaney on about 3 occasions and a few non descript substitutions at home one where he looked lost. Hadn`t made my mind up about him but thought he should have been given more opportunities.
I agree. An opportunity in the team would have been good. Then we could have formed a better opinion. But to start no games at all was a complete waste. Would have preferred to have seen him more than Stan, for what use he was last season.
If his attitude..... wasn't right i 100% back Davey, and i think it takes a big manager to see that his signings have'nt worked out, a lot of managers keep playing the players they have signed even if there not playing well, because they wont admit there wrong and hope they come good i.e tommy wright so i applaud Davey.
