Very active/busy forum tonight. Can't think why... Didn't go today, saw a different side lose instead. I'm a creature of habit. Only just got back. Thanks to anyone who has been to Donny today and given their views on the game on here, views I've read on the way back from bleak boro. Appreciate getting the gist of things. Another defeat to go with the many others. A strange decision (from here) not to pick Digby or Scowen. Seems as though we were well **** and lucky only to go down 1-0 in the end. Ah well. Onto the next one. It's nowt new is it? We've only managed back to back wins once. It's a sign of inexperience I suppose, and players being unfamiliar with each other and their games etc. I'm fully supportive of this long term strategy, being patient etc. But I never thought we'd lose to them today. And it has to be said, as unlikely as it might be, our form is relegation standard. Said it before, but it's strong stomach time. To stay together/united. No bother admitting we're **** or such and such isn't putting a shift in, no problem questioning the gaffer, but lets not start falling out amongst ourselves. We're BFC supporters wanting the same things, surely? Credit to the away support today, 2,500 of you being rewarded with (apparently) another ***** display.
We was shocking today ,hope when we get Pearson , scowen , winnall and ramage back in team we will improve .
It was a cracking game, Huddersfield deserved a point. Their keeper pulled off a worldy to deny Jacob from 35 yards. They scored a 2nd in injury time, open goal with Smithies up for a Town corner. Proper freezing up there though, and here in Bradford it's at least four inches deep of snow.
How did jacob go on today mate? Always liked the lad..always want him to score goals for whoever he plays for.......just wish he played for us right now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Personally, i'm not convinced people 'want it tomorrow'. I just don't think people want us to go from Championship to League 2, in the space of 1 and a half seasons. After c60 games, the standard of football at times is as bad as I can remember seeing. Every other game seems to deliver a new 'worst performance of the season'. I'm not for sacking him personally - but i've seen little evidence to back up this romantic idea some have, that Danny is the Messiah. That could all change of course and there's plenty of points to play for - but based on the evidence we've seen so far - I still genuinely believe NO other manager would be getting the level of support that Danny Wilson is.. You could argue that the dissenters are basing their views on what they've seen - while the backers are basing their views on blind faith and optimism
I can totally understand the disappointment, the worrying, and the sheer frustration when you've forked out at this time of year to watch what I'm told was another ***** display. And I agree with those suggesting that any other manager would have been sacked this season. So I definitely 'get' the angst from some on here. I'm not oblivious to all that. But I don't see what you'd get out of constantly ramming it down fellow supporters' throats, day in day out, just how ***** the players/manager are. And I admit, it pains me to read folk calling Danny a 'clown' or 'muppet'. He might well be ***** now as a manager, but how can you, as a BFC supporter resort to calling him names like that? Can you not even give a tad more respect to the chap that took us to the top flight against all odds? If we can't support or have patience with that man, then we never will with any manager. I never wanted Flicker sacked when he was either, and I couldn't cope with him. I was Hill's biggest fan, defended him, although I admit he had to go when he did. He'd given up that last week. All I'm saying is that to prosper/progress, we need stability. In my opinion of course, others are available. So I see no point in changing the manager now. None at all. Because if we're not winning every week next season either, the same folk'll want that new manager sacked n all. We might be relegated. It's not the impossibility that some are suggesting. Could be in the bottom four this time next week. I'm seeing the same as everybody else. We're having a shitty old season, again. So were Bristol City last year... But crying, whingeing and moaning, abusing fellow reds etc..? Not for me. I'm going to keep hoping we click, keep supporting, and stay patient. And even if we are relegated, I'll still be here, so long as the club is.
Fair point but I think the powers that be would have stuck by the manager whoever he was, having listened to the fans being concerned about too many changes. Let's not gloss it over - some poor performances. Let's see what the remainder of the season brings.
Huddersfield's best player today, as is usually the case. But they can't defend. Conceded more goals than any other club in the country I would imagine. Down to the bare bones. Owner is wealthy, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the transfers they make. Runs a very tight ship. He's enjoying his football, playing regular, key laiker etc. It's a local club, he's earning daft money and is fully aware that he's living lots of young lads' dream. First thing he asked me after the game was how had Barnsley gone on. If you watch the FLS, I'm assuming they'll show his 35 yarder today. Would have been a sweet moment had that gone n. He actually played centre forward n all! Vaughan went off injured (as he does) early on and they've no strikers, so aye, he played up front with Wells. Did well, they ought to have got a point.
Cheers for that mate! I did want him to score past that lot today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm hoping like **** things get better. And i'll keep backing Danny. But he needs to sort this $hit out pdq
Would love to see Butterfield back at Oakwell but I suppose our plight is making sure that doesn't happen anytime soon. Best two footed player I've seen play for us.
Bradford weather really is something else, isn't it? School has been closed due to snow before where it's been completely clear in Leeds. It takes weeks to go away too.
