Wonder why it is only 1 month rather than end of season like Waring? Can't see Chelsea having a problem with him staying. Unless Danny is seeing if anything better comes up when the loan window re-opens like that O'Sullivan from Blackburn.
Waring has shown he can be a great asset to the team, I thought he was excellent on Saturday, and as such we've secured him until the end of the season. Kiwomya hasn't done that yet, so Wilson has given him another month to prove himself. If he doesn't I would imagine we'll turn our attention to a different loan player.
Makes sense. Probably me just trying to read more into it as O'Sullivan said after signing a new contract that he was set to go out on loan to a league 1 club when the window re-opens.
Have you watched us away from home recently? You could be right or maybe wrong. But i've only seen him in one home game so have no real opinion on him.
He's been very ineffective in the 3 games I've seen him in. But then the rest of the team were as well. I'm fine with him being given another chance to prove he's got a bit more about him than pace.
I think it is exactly that. Danny doesn't want to tie him down to a season long loan when other targets may come available during the loan window. I don't think it's any coincidence that this deal has been done after the transfer window has closed, Danny has missed out on a target and Kiwomya is the back up plan.
Probably the reasons we have discussed in the thread. So we don't leave ourselves short until a better option becomes available. Unless something drastic happens can't see him being here until the end of the season.
Find it bizarre that 3 people have wrote him off in this thread and they've seen him a maximum of 3 times for us. If someone like Danny Wilson who sees him every day in training wants an extra month to see whether he's good enough to be worth keeping here til the summer I'm not sure how anybody on here can have made a decision on the lad so quick. Be nice to give him a chance first
Another month gives us the chance to look at a player who is still getting used to league football and his team mates. Seems a sensible decision to me.
He looked rapid against Yeovil, on the choice occasions he had the ball. Haven't seen him since. Different option, impact player at least.
We had people wanting us to sign Reece Brown because he had one good pre season training game. Therefore it's not really a surprise some are writing him off after seeing him a max 3 times but mostly once.
I have only seen him play once (away at Doncaster) and although he was ineffectual, so were the rest of the team. Have to say though my immediate thoughts were that whatever ability he has it is not ready for men's football yet. I'm still open to the idea of him staying and would never write a player off after seeing him play once, but if another loan player becomes available that is ready to step into the team and make a difference I would send Kiwomya back.
How do you know he's costing us anything in wages? He might not, it's not unheard of for these youth loans to be purely to get the lad some football, chelsea certainly don't need us to be paying anything.
