Just tweeted 'Feeling underappreciated' Does it mean anything? Feel for the lad if its about the game. wilson should have made a change earlier and him being one of them should have come on
Why should he have been one of the changes? He's got a lot to learn and it could have been costly to bring him on.
I feel for him in the sense that he looks like he could be something of an impact player, started his first 3 games for us and not been seen since, in fairness we've won the last 2 games, so had we been chasing these games, I get the feeling he'd have played more.
Seems odd to have had him play zero minutes in the last two games. If he doesn't get time on the pitch we won't know how good he is.
There was no reason to bring him on. The team were doing ok and a change for the sake of it might have been disruptive. I'm sure he'll get his chance to come on and change the course of a game at some stage. The good of the team has to come before his development. A strange comment to make from someone so inexperienced, if it's directed at the club. Who does he think he is?
Because Waring was shattered and his pace for last 5 - 10 mins while we sat back and they left holes behind. Hourihane and lalkovic also looked shattered last 10
We won the game and Wilson managed it perfectly. No need to bring a very naive 18 year old on at that point.
Never said they were. It's got to do with the fact that he recognised he needed to make changes. If you just don't rate Kiwomya just say so. Wilson has entrusted many youngsters for more than just 5 mins and if he's good enough to be on the bench, that implies he's good enough to come on and do a good job at any time in wilsons mind.
I thought Wilson managed it well apart from the subs at the end. It was clear Waring had given his all and was pretty much dead on his feet therefore the sub should've came maybe 5/10 minutes earlier I think. But we got the win and that's back to back wins now so onwards and upwards. You reds.
I really don't have a clue what point you're trying to make. Wilson didn't pick Kiwomya for this game. We won the game fairly comfortably and the correct subs were made at the correct times.
Agreed, I sometimes think we make changes a little too late but last few games we have held on. Better performance today though.
My point was I think he could have made a change for Waring earlier. given the thread was about Kiwomya, I think Wilson could have brought him on and done a job coming on a replacement as they threw more people forward and we could have seen if his pace worked while the team in general defended and sat further back. That's my observation of what could have happened and I'm sure many people have different views of how it could have been handled.
Daft thing to write but he's a kid with a social media account & most that age post silly things regularly, it's just they're not professional footballers. I guess it's up to him to prove he's worthy of a start / sub appearance next time out
I couldn't go last night so have no idea if Kiwomya would have been a good option, but I do know that we won so wouldn't change a thing Wilson did. If Kiwomya is feeling under appreciated and Wilson was thinking "i better give this lad the last 10 minutes to keep him happy" then he makes a mistake and costs us the 3 points there would be plenty on here berating Wilson for trusting a young lad in such a delicate match/situation. The 3 points were far more important last night then any single players development, especially one that doesn't even belong to us.
