Is that really fair. Just becuase he's been lucky or privileged enough to be the royal doctor. Does he deserve it more than any other long serving doc.

Although most knighthoods and mbe's are a joke these days, Sir Bradly F*cking Wiggins

It's not a normal knighthood. He's being made a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order which is the personal gift of Her Maj, independent of Downing Street and the ordinary honours system.

Absolutely, and they have my full support and respect.

I just think in this specific case, it's all down to his position within the Royal Family circle of associates.

The honours system has been completely devalued by the insistence on honouring people for doing nothing more than the job they are paid to do.

I've looked through all the 125 pages of the honours list to check whether I know someone on the list - sometimes I do but this year I don't.

However, and this hasn't been reported to my knowledge, two cleaners that muck out the Number 10 Downing Street office have got awards.

Now I'm all for cleaners getting honours......because mi mother was one..........but there are thousands of cleaners throughout Britain that will never be recognised.

**** the royal family. Prince Harry is thick as ****. Got 2 Es in his A Levels despite having the best education available in the country. The royalty should be abolished and forced to fend for themselves. We can't claim to be a meritocracy when those ******* are born with a silver spoon up their arse and revered irrespective of what they actually accomplish.
