I have recently had a letter from my dentist (Mr Sharp, Cudworth), and from the 1st April, he will be going private. Apparently he is introducing a scheme where he assesses you, and calculates a monthly fee for you to pay. This replaces the need to pay for your treatment as you have it, putting a stop to having to fork out potentially large sums of money for treatment all at once. Now, what i dont understand is where does Westfield Healthcare come into this? Isn't it possible to claim this way anymore? Or is Westfield just for treatment on the NHS?
Also, are there any NHS dentists left in Barnsley and its surrounding areas that are willing to accept new patients?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

RE: Is this d/t being nice? They'll look after you. From having a tidy receptionist to having a bird who does the sucking bit while resting a tit in your face.
Lol Sounds fantastic. Do you get extras? Will Westfield contribute to the "extras"? Or is it dental treatment only?
I've just joined as a NHS patient in the one on George Street, Wombwell Everyone keeps saying they've a bad reputation but seem fine to me and much better than no dentist at all.
Cheers mate So thats at least one round here that still has places.
Any other BBs'ers with info for me would be really appreciated.

RE: I've just joined as a NHS patient in the one on George Street, Wombwell Years ago that practice did have a bad name.

I think the problem they now is that there rivals on Barnsley Road , Walker and McBride are so bloody good.
