I hate to kick a man when he's down, honestly I do, but I'm bored so I had a poke around looking for KO's goalscoring stats. As far as I can see he's played in 70 league games for us, of which 32 were starts, and scored 4 goals.

If we estimate that he played a quarter of the time in the games he came on as a sub then that's still less than 1 goal every 10 games.

    He's a striker, right?

    Well he's certainly got potential

To secure himself an almost unassailable position in Barnsley's record books, albeit an unwanted one.

Not sure that Davey knows what to do with him ......

...... anymore ..... when he first came SD insisted he was the man for the job and could only get better, then he dropped him altogether at the end of last season and loaned him out, then he came back into the reckoning in pre-season and scored a few against non-league teams and Davey was saying he was looking better than ever, now he can't score for toffee again and Davey has gone from saying that it didn't matter because his overall contribution was good for the team, then Davey started saying he would pick only the players who scored goals ..... deary me, no wonder nobody understands what's going on anymore!

He not good enough it seems - I do agree. Didn't excuse some of the chants near me last night when, in all fairness, and many have said on here, him and Hume stood out as the better performers.

If we had a 20 goal a season man with him the lack of goals would (obviously) not be so costly.

    Youve forgot one.....

Davey saying before pre-season that Gray was the perfect type of player that any of his 3 strikers, Hume, Bogdanovic and Macken could play off.

Not a mention of KO insight.

Yet - look who starts the new season up front for us.......

    RE: "no. 1 striker"

Does that mean he's going to try him in goal?

    He said what?

    Really? I wasn't there.

If he really said that why did everyone come out feeling like Barnsley were going up?

    RE: "no. 1 striker"

He said he came in to pre-season no 6 striker and then is 'now my 1st choice striker'. (chinny)

I was sat in the far end of the east stand last night and two crosses came in, if KO had been a "striker" he would have thrown the kitchen sink at them! but he didnt, he is i`m sorry to say not going to make it at this level. Four goals in 70 appearances is the sad fact that Davey mis guilty of. A work in progress he called him, sadly very little in the way of progression.

I don't think we ended up with the real KO. The guy scored one goal in three for Cheltenham and got 15 in his last League One season. Then he comes to us and can't even do the basics. Doesn't even look like our KO on the Cheltenham YouTube videos. The real KO was sold to someone in a far flung corner of the world. We ended up with someone found in the back of a lorry somewhere off the M5.

FFS, lay off. We could sign Torres, Ronaldo and Drogba

. . . . . . . . . they'd be hard pushed to score between 'em the "style" of football this clown has us playing.

(I was loathe to use the word "style" but couldn't think of an alternative.)

    Really?

I admit I haven't seen him play in person yet this year but I'm sure there was a header on the highlights that I reckon those guys could have bundled in if it had come to one of them.
