Also blames JCR and Hammill for not playing well enough. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/barnsley/8229032.stm
A refreshing honest assessment from Kozzie. Lets hope this kickstarts some of the players to perform to the level we know their capable off.
Sounds like a meeting between all players on Monday and some home truths will be told. Just what barnsley football club needs now. Get ri of anything whats happend before and start from fresh after Mondays meeting.
get over it nudger he's gone because results were crap, mr charisma had to go for the good of barnsley fc
that's clearly not true though is it? I can understand him shouldering some of the blame and feeling guilty - but to suggest that as a manager goes there is nobody better than Simon Davey is wildly over generous. Davey had his moments (not enough of them sadly or he wouldn't have been fired) but sometimes his tactics were genuinely shambolic.
Good to hear it but Kozluk has to do something to stop himself dropping down a division ...because at the moment he is not a Championship quality player - not at all. A new broom is going to come in, and decisions will be made about certain players staying or going. There are a number of individuals who are going to have to justify themselves and really up their game to show that they have something to offer. For me Kozluk is absolutely top of that list, Moore is also on the list (for the sake of his injuries sadly), Macken is on that list, Kayode Odejayi is certainly on that list (I'm not convinced about the 'he wins 99.99% of flick-ons argument) and Devaney is on that list too. All of these players have to re-iterate, on the field of play, exactly why they are necessary for Barnsley F.C. in this division. Without question the new manager will have to bring people in to strengthen that defence up - it's at least a centre half and a full back as far as I'm concerned. I don't care how sincere Kozluk is on that radio interview (and I applaud him for taking responsibility - it's the first step forward) he has shown himself to be the least reliable player in the squad this season. JCR is in a different catagory. He has to make his mind up and he has to start delivering the goods this season or else we might as well cash him in and invest the money in the defence.
"Once we cross that white line, it's on us"... Precisely. I can't see much changing, no matter what manager we bring in to be honest. Different manager, same ol'****.
Seams a bit weak to wait till the manager has been sacked and then come out aqnd be like we are at fault
I think yesterday in particular they DID let him down. To me, it didn't look like a team of players that wanted to put things right...
Seems to me like that is a pretty blatant message to the new manager Any potential future manager that is interested in the job will see that and Kozluk knows it. He knows that he hasnt been good enough this season and only Davey was keeping him in the side so he's sent a message to the future manager of 'i can do better, just give me a chance when you come in'. don't be fooled into thinking it is him standing up for davey and try to see it for what it really is, a player trying to save his own career by showing any new manager that he thinks he is better than his performances have suggested and then by backing davey he has let the new guy know that in him they have a player willing to take the flack for them.
Well done Kozzie for admitting to the blatantly fecking obvious Wonder what he'll spend his 5k on this week
Kozluk CAN do better hench why fans of the club were pleased to see him sign a new contract after turning down Palace.
Hopefully we'll get a good manager and start winning to shut you up ya moaning git!

why is talk cheap. at least he's admitted he's under par. never hear fecking oddjob say it and he's always ****
Your wrong, Kayode says 'he has nothing to prove' Well Kayo my friend; after 5 goals in 80 + games you've alot to fecking prove.
