Needed a new tyre and front wheel rebalance on my car this morning.

Take it to the bloke round the corner who can't do it until this aft.

Go to Kwik Fit: "well you need 3 new tyres not just one and with a wheel balance that'll be £220".

Go back to bloke round corner later on: "Just one new tyre and wheel balance: £35 please"

How do Kwik Fit get away with it the overcharging sneaky ****s?

I guess their target revenue is from customers with zero knowledge of vehicles, which is probably the majority, myself included. Back in my uni days my exhaust dropped off at one end so I took it to the nearest place, a Kwik Fit, to be assessed.

Kiwk Fit representative says, "oh yeah, this needs fixing, that needs doing, blah blah blah I'm making it up as I go along and I'm a complete moron, it's going to be three hundred and fifty pounds and it'll be ready in a couple of days".

Obviously being a student at the time my initial thought, expressed in memory was, "do I look like I've just walked out of a %$£*ing circus?!".

I took it to another garage around the corner and they fixed it there and then for £17 as I juggled my flaming knives whilst riding a unicycle.

In addition, my Dad, who resides in London had something fixed at Kwik Fit down there, mainly because he needed it doing quickly. Shortly after a trip up here, whatever it was they fixed broke again, so he took it to the one in town to be repaired again. Low and behold, shortly after that, it failed again.

Kwik Fit are spineless, useless and incessantly incompetent.

  3. ******* they are, took my car to Kwik Fit llandudno missus had a free MOT voucher, work needed 350 quid for 1 tyre, 2 wishbones and fronf brake discs and pads pricy or what, took it to snape hill garage darfield last week as i went to the match, changed wishbones and tyre 150, said brakes and discs fine (3 mechanics checked them), went back to Kwik fit to complain and ask to reassess the front brakes and discs and they said no but would do it for 40 quid MOT, went somewhere else passed, kwik fit then send us a customer services form, i will be having some fun with that the rip off *******

Vic is brilliant. I went up when I had a flat battery and he let me take his power pack home to start my car.

Not used Kwik Fit since they arsed me around with a new clutch in the late eighties. I had it fitted at Kwik Fit in Blackpool while on holiday and had nothing but trouble with it afterwards. Took it into the Kwik Fits in the Barnsley/Rotherham area to be looked at again and they had to refer me to their larger Worksop branch as they weren't a service centre (the smaller Kwik Fits only did tyres and exhausts at the time). The Worksop branch had me running about like a tit in a trance for several weeks before they sorted it. Charlie Brown's at Wath are now a Kwik Fit, but with all the old knuckle scraping Charlie Brown staff.
