    no doubt it will go up because of Beckham signing, 500,000 a WEEEK!!!!

    Yanks can affrd it though with this new 'beckham rule' regarding wages

    just look at what NFL players and baseball players get paid over there-madness!

    But there's far more money in those sports

    The NY Yankees have the highest payroll in baseball.

    Their top paid player is Alex Rodriguez, who last year was paid $26m, Beckham's works out at $1m a week (so $52m), I can't see how they can possibly pay this in, what is effectively, a minor sport.
    It's possible that Beckham's includes all sorts of additionals for sponsorship and endorsements whilst A-Rod's doesn't....but either way it is an unbelievable amount.

    Beckham is the highest paid sportsman of all time now by 200,000 a week. The second highest is a baseball player at 300,000 its madness!
