Last season I saw so many post singling out devante cole for apparently downing tools apparently wanting a move. But today 2nd half we had no fight. Especially stephen Humphrys the lad looked dis interested, lazy, offered nothing without the ball and the fact he got dragged off for dyer speaks volumes if I turned up at work and put that effort in id be sent home. Effort costs nothing, takes zero skill all you have to do is give it your all. Some of those today can't go home and say they gave it 100%

Humphrys has been shocking for 3 months. Absolutely no fight in him whatsoever. The step over king that with the heart of a pea. I’d play young Dyer before him.

I agree, I think Humphrys has the ability every now and then he will turn it on and score a great goal. All too often he just turns up and goes through the motions.

Lack of fight comes from lack of motivation and I saw none at all in the second half.

That was my key takeaway from today. As much as we have an unbalanced squad, lack of quality in key areas etc, the reason we lost today was a lack of HEART. And that's really, really tough to take as a supporter (and I imagine for the head coach too).

Humphrys was the epitome of this, but Rodrigues, Russell, O'Keefe, Earl and Pines all scored pretty high on the "lacking the cojones for the job" front.

Agreed. We're soft. And at the end of the day that comes down to the manager. We've all had teachers or bosses who talked tough but acted soft and we knew they were a bit of a fanny and we could take the piss and get away with it. Thats Clarke. Soft.

Bring in a defence coach might help. Oh for a Eric Winstanley or Big Malcolm Shotton

I saw that you tagged me about cole and Humphreys earlier but was out and now I can't find it so I'll answer here.

I still believe that cole basically downed tools in the second half of the season and if I was a betting man I'd say it's because we refused to allow him to leave in January but you're right, Humphreys was absolutely none ******* idle today and should have been hauled off long before they scored.

Was it him who threw himself 30 yards through the air across the pitch just before the goal when he was pushed by their player? Pathetic.

As formyour pines comment just above this, I agree entirely. He doesn't lack heart at all, he lacks ANY ability as a defender but I believe he has heart.

Fair enough, unsure why you called me out on here over what my opinions were on Collins. Odd
