Knew nothing about him 10 minutes ago.

Found an interview with the Walsall manager from the summer when he was released by Chelsea following a season-long loan the previous season at Walsall.

Walsall were very keen for him to come back on a permanent basis at the time, but said the player wanted to see what options were available and apparently there was interest from Middlesbrough at the time.

Danny seems to be making a habit of signing young 'unknowns', players off the radar of 99% of fans and, personally speaking, I'm quite pleased with the policy (Hourihane, Cole, Berry & Winnall being excellent examples). Too few of the experienced, better known players brought to the club during 2014 have produced the goods when presented with their opportunity.

I have seen him play in a televised match for Walsall and thought that he had some real class about him as a wide left player with the ability to make and score goals. Not prolific at Walsall, but a significant threat in any attacking formation. Not surprised about Middlesbrough interest, as Ledesma made the same move from Walsall and he has also taken the step-up in his stride, even though currently out on loan. I am pleased with this signing.

    From the Walsall forum....

"There's a very good player inside Milan somewhere, but a manager needs to fine tune his abilities and ensure he doesn't turn into a run of the mill lower league winger. He's quite quick, short, tricky and he will create/score a few goals over the course of a season. However, he fancies himself as a centre forward where IMO he's too small, too weak to make any use of himself. He did look much better out wide and I'd play him wide left in a front 3 or 4-5-1. Bags of ability, just needs to tune his game and remember that passing is sometimes as good as a stepover."

Sounds like he will replace Cole on the left of the 451
