Ben talks in the YP article mentioned elsewhere about how "infectious" the lad has been so far in his short stay. I noticed this at the end of HT on Saturday - he was vocal and enthusiastic in the subs kick-about, and also seemed to be having a laugh with DJ etc in a way that seemed like he had played with them for years. But the best bit for me was when the team were taking the field again for 2nd half, he applauded them all back on, mostly individually, with the odd pat on the back and words of encouragement - especially for big George and Alex. Just the type of thing a team needs, and it was especially encouraging given that Saturdays lot were assembled at fairly short noticed and would have surely welcomed his input. Fair play to the lad - I like him. I also think he will find the back of the net Satdi.
I remember jan aage conducting the ponty when he'd been subbed just walked round in his tracky and stood in front and cupped his ear as if to say "we can't hear you" made us all feel like one unit
Good to hear. I didn't see him at half time because I had to queue a full minutes just to get a bovril. I've noticed Digby seems to be a really good character as well, always encouraging people & talking to the players around him. I guess we'll need to develop our own leaders with the team been so young
I've never seen Digby as vocal as he was Saturday. Maybe Pearson being here will really help his development?
