    if you get click fit its easier than having to glue every board take your time and remember to leave around 8mm all way round the edge for expansion

    Not everyone can afford solid hardwood

    Although I know what you mean. The veneer flooring is a decent compromise if budgets will stretch to it. Looks way better than laminate. Definitely the one to go for if the area you're covering isn't large enough to make a significant price difference.

    Don't mock the photo effect though... For years I had wallpaper on our kitchen splashback which was meant to look like tiles (it came with the house). I used to joke that people would be fooled by it. Then, when we came to get a few kitchen fitters in to quote for fitting a new kitchen a few of them asked if it was tiled and put their hands against it! Time to go to Specsavers mate. Most tiles don't curl up at the corners.
