The bloke in question has has his lively hood ruined by eastern immigrants pinching his stocks. He has spent time and effort building his business and despite attempting to eplain his catch adn release policy, he got 'me no talkie Inglish'. At which point he did a full blanket ban on foreign nationals fishing his water in an attempt to save his stocks.
He has been branded a racist by various liberals.

So much for an Englishmans home is his castle.

Why not..

put up signs in "their" language to warn them of the requirment to catch and return and if they fail to heed the warnings, phone the Police. Poaching is a criminal offence, regardless of who is doing it...

 

Signs were up mos tof last year. its being going on a while before it got to the no brits rule. The East Europeans ignore the signs. And the police loath do do anything as they make get called racist. its not just Trentside thats just the tip of the iceberg.

 

I know i'll get branded a racist but quite frankly I dont care anymore so here goes... Why the hell should he put up signs in another language? Firstly how many languages does he transalte to and secondly is he expected to pay for people who live here but cant be arsed to learn to speak the language? This is England and if people want to live here they should have to learn the langauge.

I think the Police hide behind we'll get called racist because they are just not fecking that bothered.

I'm merely pointing out the steps that could be taken before calling the Police and requesting that they act.

I couldnt agree more and i think that many of the ex-pats (not all) are a disgrace. Personally if I moved to another country I'd want to integrate as well as possible and learning the lingo is essential.

However foreign police would take immediate action on an alien commiting an offence.

 

And therefore..

a lot of economic migrants will learn English. Of course they can always calim not to understand but when a crime is committed the Police should act. Simple as that.

The question we must ask is why our Police "service" chose not to act? I think they hide behind the "we'll get called racist" crap. If the law is being broken then act. It's what you levy my council tax for.

Couldnt agree with you more Redstar. This whole "we dont want to be branded racist" ethos was the primary problem with the fecking police in Luton last week.

 

The question there was...

were the protesters actually commiting a crime? I'm not sure they were but if the Police thought they were, get in and make arrests. All this about being called racist is twaddle as far as I am concerned. The Police are passing the buck and are causing more division than the protestors.

It was painful in Luton and I fully disagree with what they did but sadly for them and in reality happily for us we have the freedom to protest. Sometimes people will protest and a lot of people will disagree with them.

 

Freedom of speech is one thing but when freedom of speech leads to public offence and is likely to cause public disorder then it has to be stopped. This is where the police went wrong - they should have told the protestors that they would be arrested and if they wanted to make their points they should go to Downing street and make it not try and ambush the parade of returning soldiers. Thats was wrong on all levels in my opinion.
Had it been a group of far right skinheads (it doesnt have to be skinheads but they fit the stereotype in this arguement) protesting about womens rights in countries such as Iran and Afghanistan and protesting in the same aggressive manner as the Luton mob they would have been warned prior to the march and if they continued they would have been arrested. I am 100% convinced about that.

 

In Germany it's illegal to catch fish and put them back.

 

But.. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.... FACT

any law enforcement that fails to act on a breach of the law is simply NOT DOING HIS/HER job.... Problem today for the poor sods is they can process the offence and then the prosecutions office will refuse to take the case forward,, not in the public interest.........

 

If i can find it, i have an article from a newpaper in northants I think where the polcie had to drop charges as it was a breach of their human rights not being allowe dto take fish stock.
