I'm looking at buying my first laptop & I'm currently favouring the Acer EX5620.

Does anyone have any experience of one? Is it a good "starter" laptop? I'm working to a budget of around £350.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kids have Acer machines

Good , reliable laptops. I've a Toshiba and the mrs has a dell. I would recommend any of those too if you can find one around that price. Hope this helps!

    For £350 - he'll be lucky!

You can get a decent machine for that price which will still do just as good a job</p>

    Agreed

And I have a macbook!! Great machine for what I need, but there are some cracking laptops out there. Ignore the Apple fanboys.

£350 is my max so based on responses so far, the Acer it is.
