after a new laptop and might get one with a blue ray so heres my shirtlist or any other recomendations would be good. http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/AdvSearch/default.aspx?rewrite=Blu-Ray_Laptops
Had a couple of HP laptops for work (reasonably heavy usage) and never had a problem. Very easy to upgrade too when i needed to.
I have a Fujitsu Amilo Pro, and it's a treat. It's the true portable one so very small screen and lightweight compared to the ones you're looking at, but build quality very good. Also easy to upgrade RAM even though it's a small footprint. I would certainly recommend Fujitsu.
Why put up with poor sound tho` Asus are far better for practically same cost. acer , the keys kept falling off, kept crashing, but if you are happy with yours then thats what matters, not what has happened to someone elses .
