Would love it me sen - but the problem is that, as far as I am aware, it only cures short sight - and as I also need lenses for reading, it means that despite spending oodles of quids on laser, I would still end up having to wear glasses.

Which brings me to another point. Many of us end up needing readers when we hit 40+. So, if you ARE in that age group and are thinking about it, wouldn't it be wise to hang on a year or two, to see if yer eyes are going to go, thereby saving you some dosh?

It can cure long-sighteness and astigmatism too

It is certainly worthwhile if your sight is bad enough, it does make an awful lot of difference. As for timing, yes, when you've had it done your eyes will still be subject to the aging process and will still get worse, as they would without the surgery. But if you're going to get it done then you have to take that decision some time.

I think it would be great.

You could burn holes in locks and that and you could write your name on trees.

Once helped to raise funds to send a neighbours lad

to Moscow for treatment on his eyes as he was going blind. They were the only ones offering any treatment at all for his condition. It did seem to help him keep some sight after he'd been.
