    Conor said not much activity in terms of outs and trying for a couple of bodies in.

    That mightn't be down to support from people around the club, but people outbidding us as finances coming into it.

    Have other clubs thrown the kitchen sink at somebody or location or family reasons.... There's loads of reasons why you might not get a player. I am hopeful to get a couple through the door who will add quality and value to the squad? I really, really hope so..

    "I think we are in the mix for both to be honest. Ideally, we'd love players to be ours. But the later it goes with such little time left, the permanent signing that you are hopeful for that doesn't happen may turn into a loan for someone else.

    Think we were expecting a major sale in order to bring in any targets permanently. Expect we’ll be getting a couple of last minute loans in.

    It read to me as though we've got bids in its now down to the process and whether we get gazumped or players change thier minds etc but Conor is still hopeful they get done.

    I'm not sure many clubs will have DKD as 'plan A' which is in part testament to us no longer being an easy touch.

    But some clubs desperate to appease their fans as they scrambled for main targets might see him as a 'plan B' if they miss those targets.

    Blimey. He was one we were after I believe at one time, and signed for Plymouth instead. The same window we signed Adam Phillips for the same position.

    I think you're quoting me here. If you are, that isn't what I said.

    In response to people criticising the club for not getting business done early in the window, I said we've regularly signed our better players in the lead up to, or on deadline day.
