I've never been one for knee-jerk managerial changes, I believe that a manager should be given plenty of time to mould a set of players and get them to become a team.

I've never called for Davey to be sacked, I've never bollocked him nor do I tend to give negative criticism to the players, believing that positivity, praise and constructive criticism is of far more use. I can even see the plus points of Kayode, that's how rose timted my specs are.

However, last night was a turning point and it turned on the performance of one player. Stephen Foster.

Last year Stephen Foster was the deserved recipient of the Player of the Year Award. I called him Mr Reliable, you were safe if he was on the ball or chasing down a plater, he'd win the ball, he'd give a good pass or he'd clear to safety. He did the sensible thing, he was never phased or nervous.

Last night he looked like a different person altogether, no confidence in those around him, no confidence in in himself, making wrong decisions, giving the ball away.

If a solid dependable, reliable player like Foster can go that way then something must be wrong.

I started to watch Davey on the sidelines, was he encouraging, was he trying to give advice or to impart managerial wisdom? I know that from the touchline it's very difficult to do this, but some animation, some effort would be nice, let the players know that you want more, something. He just stands, arms folded with a blank look on his face.

So that's that, I cannot see how this club can go forward with Davey in charge, we have the players but hthey need direction, leadership, a rudder.

Put me in charge, I'd drop Moore (he is too slow to react and move), put Foster back in the centre and make him captain.

Quite right, although he was, for me, one of the best players out there.

I never saw Davey taking any active part, although my view is a bit obscured, but I have seen him active on many occasions in the past.

Last night we were a mixture of milk and water. The performance was awful and it seemed that nobody was interested in changing things round to make an impact. With the exception of Nyatanga we are no worse off than last season, and should be a damned sight better with the additions.

If we don't put our finger on the problem soon and change it, our very good players will lose heart and/or leave.

That would be a bad enough scenario as it is, but when you are in 23rd place, with a current projected points tally of 23, we should be worried.

People around me have made the point about Foster too.

You need to play your best 11 when available.

I'd play Muller, even though Steele has been excellent. Muller's the better keeper; it's just that simple.
I'd play Hassell at right back and Foster in the middle with Souza.
I'd play Devaney and JCR on the wings, and I'd give Mostto a chance up front.

I pretty much agree - play your best team. Unfortunately, that means dropping Steele
