Just got back to North Wales as we stayed over in Barnsley last night as it was my 2 young sons 1st ever away match and the stopover was an extra treat. Great night all round, Barnsley are a terrific football club who did you proud last night, you were superb in the first half and if it was not for tiredness creeping in you may well have got more out of the game. Barnsley fans in Wetherspoons and around town were very nice and spoke very highly of the Blues, spoke for ages with a steward who was very funny and great with my kids and amazed how many blues supporters there were for a night time sky match. Result was great (in the end) and the hotel was nice apart from a lumpy bed. Perfect night really ...here's to another away match planned hopefully Barnsley away in the Fa cup. . . Cheers Colin
Thanks for the comments. I think you will be alright this season. Deulofeu will rip a few teams a new a55hole - great player. Good luck.
Hopefully he will, was very greedy in his loan spell 2 seasons back and was a very frustrating player to watch. He's definitely a changed player as he now has decided to use his obvious talent of wing player and some of the crosses last night were superb. I really felt sorry for your left back as he was superb against the useless McGeady but could not get near Deulofeu
Considering he's not actually a left back he did pretty well! Not sure a recognised full-back would have done much better to be honest, Deulofeu was on fire.
The obvious difference in quality told in the end. We gave you a better game than I imagined, considering we set up with the same team and formation that looked so lifeless against Bradford at the weekend. The difference was that we almost treated it like an away game: in the sense that when we're away, we soak pressure up and hit on the counter, much like we did at Millwall last week. At home we just pass the ball from right to left for 90 minutes with the occasional burst of play. It worked for us big time last night and to a degree we were very unlucky. Glad you had a good evening, and it will certainly be an evening your 2 lads won't forget. I remember my first away game albeit for the wrong reasons, my dad almost got us ejected. All the best for the season Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
