I thought considering the conditions it wasn't a bad game at all.QPR aren't a bad team in fact they recently beat Watford away by 3 clear goals if I remember correctly. The bottom line is we missed 3/4 clear cut chances and if yer don't score you don't win games.Plus points were the defence who restricted QPR to a couple of chances, the keeper again looked composed,JCR man of the match by a million miles and Bobby Hassell who had a terrific first half for a man playing out of position, not has good second half but kept plugging away getting in vital challenges. So all in all we need a couple of wins and a couple of draws between now and the end of the season,I personally think we'll get 55points plus.
I know this sounds daft But I've got this feeling that we're going to win 2 of our remaining away games. Hard to believe I know, but like us to do the unexpected.
hassell was garbage last nite, i sh*t myslef every time he had the ball, it was like pressing a self destruct button, he couldnt give it to one of our players... i really hope he doesnt play on sat in midfield, a match like that would be good for Johnson to star, some steel in midfield and then toggers to come on for him near the end, NO WAY hassell. full back yes, midfield, NO!!!!
A very fair summary imho. You are correct that we missed 3/4 chances and if that happens you won't win matches. The problem is that with our "strikers" you know that that will continue to happen. I really wish I could see us getting 55+ points. I can see it being 52 at the absolute optimistic most and more than likely less. That will not be enough.
