Last Nights Player by Player Report

Townsend - Was quite impressed with him especially the save in the first half to tip it around the post. He likes to come and command his area (too much at times).

Bree - Had a great game after being unavailable at the weekend to play 120 minutes and to score the winning penalty.

Roberts - Had another solid game. We just need a effective tactic from his throw ins.

Nyatanga - Had a solid game. Did good in the air and his penalty was probably the best of the lot.

Mawson - Played ok. But he seems to be prone to a couple of mistakes a game. Last night was to give away the penalty for the equaliser.

Smith - Was ok defensibly. Lacked the end product going forward.

Pearson - Had a good game up to being booked for dissent. We should start handing him fines for needless bookings.

Rothwell - Started off bright but disappeared as the game went on. probably was tiring.

Scowen - Excellent game. Put himself around the field and got kicked around a lot.

Watkins - For the 90 min he looked good when he ran forward with the ball and caused problems. His penalty was poor though.

Wilkinson - Didn't really do much apart from getting to the ball before the keeper for the 2nd penalty.

Winnall - Seemed to always come wide for the ball which meant there was nobody in the middle.

Hourihane - Didn't do much. Had one good chance to score but basically tapped it to the keeper.

Templeton - Came on in extra time. Nothing to report as he wasn't on long
