    I'd always avoided his programme because I can't stand those corny boogie-woogie jam sessions but, those aside, his show just keeps getting better.

    He had Anthony and the Johnsons on last night, the most original and atmospheric vocal style I've heard in years. Like the androgenous love-child of Aaron Neville and Bryan Ferry.

    Haunting.

    i too avoid that show like the plague for similar reasons but also cos i think the music is ****. then again we all have different tastes/backgrounds/ages so its no surprise

    i always thought no one liked that show and it was just aired so Jools could be sycophantic. apparently i'm wrong

    Agreed. The man is a wonderful wobbly spine-tingling source of mixed up beauty. That and the Arcade Fire album are my joint best of the year records.
