....my mate has just called me about the Howard situation. He's currently a trainee helicopter pilot and one of his colleagues took Mr Pat Cryne to Ipswich last night..... Apparently, the reason why the Howard deal has stalled is that Mr Cryne has intervened and spoken directly to Howard and asked if he'd sign a new contract if Davey went. Howard has said yes and informed Mr Cryne that other senior players (Da Silva, Macken & Muller) have all spoken about Davey and talking of getting rid. There is currently a board meeting where this is being discussed, whether to keep Davey and risk upsetting the squad or get shut of Davey and Howard to stay and sign a 3 year deal. Also, Mr Cryne is very pally with a big name boss and apparently he is being lined up as a possibility. He has links to the area.... Don't shoot the messenger, just something that's been passed to me by a friend.
Sounds fairly plausible After last night and the events of the last week if Cryne isn't discussing Davey's future then there's something really wrong.
Davey flew back on the Helicopter with Cryne anyway, you alright Dyson? You'll never believe where BDTD is moving to
Interesting, these "stories" Which is all they are until we see it actually happen. Not saying that none of it is true, but there are so many good story tellers on here, not to mention out and out morons, that it is best to suspend belief for the time being. Nice if all of this is true though
I've no reason to disbelieve you, but that could well be someone telling you what we all want to hear. Still, things like this are what things like this board exist for.
People associated with BFC Be it players, managers, coaches, directors or owners don't tell us supporters a thing but will give their life story to any passing helicopter pilot (or bloke in the pub, man at the train station, woman in a bank queue) at the drop of a hat.
RE: People associated with BFC I imagine it's much the same as chatting to a cabbie. But helicopters are less dangerous than taxis.
Bring a Director of Football in, doesn't have to sack Davy then Davy could either learn from this person as his number 2, or simply go. (blagger)
Dunno about that mate We seem to have sent over a lot of helicopters to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but not a lot of taxis. Maybe that's where we're going wrong.
I said the same mate, just had the below e-mail. Direct from the pilot mate: 'On the way down he didn't look impressed. Him and some other bloke were in the back (Dave/Doug/Don??) and they were discussing where to go and which would be the best scenario IE keep Howard or Davey. We were delayed 15 minutes while he was on the blower before setting off and all I could catch was that it was Howard he was talking to'.
RE: People associated with BFC http://www.flyingtv.co.uk/ He seems quite comfortable about helicopters still. Taxi drivers are mental.
That sounds like the biggest pile of made up ****** I've heard for yonks. Well, at least since Derek Riordan's Vauxhall Signum was spotted in the car park.
Telling Howard to get himself off Sheff Utd's team sheet....
This is all going in the script.
Good work fella.
