As you may know he has become very lame due to a bad front left leg. It started as a cyst which seemed to get better and he started walking a lot more easily.... however... a week later he took a bad fall and wrecked that same leg, to such a degree that he developed a large lump just above his elbow joint. The vet did a second set of xrays and took a sample of the lump..... they feared a tumour. A week ago the results came back , and they were clear.... no tumour ! BUT they then suspected that in the fall he had actually ripped the tendon from his elbow bone, which is why he cannot walk on this leg or put any weight on it at all. So this Monday he is going into "hospital" for the vets to try to reattach it. He will then have a pot on his leg for 6 weeks then hopefully the leg will start to heal. It will be a traumatic process for us all but if he can see it through then it will be worthwhile. This weekend is his and Brad's birthdays. They are 13. Twin brothers. We are giving them so much love and attention, especially Fudge. What with Brad and his one eye and Fudge and his pot we will have a reyt pair of crocks ! So glad the reds won, it lightens the mood.
