Offer for Jamal Reading, 11:30, January 19, 2009 Barnsley midfielder Jamal Campbell Ryce is at the centre of a £1m transfer bid, rumored to be from Reading. Tykes boss Simon Davey has reported that he has already turned down two bids for the midfielder, who has become an integral part of the Barnsley side. Barnsley are now considering the offer, "When you get bids of this size, it's a big temptation," Davey told the club's website. "Sometimes you have to deal with losing players. I hope he stays, but I have to be realistic and there's a chance he may leave." The Jamaican international has become a key member of the struggling Barnsley side, since his £250,000 move from Southend. As Reading look for midfield reinforcements worries grow amongst the club's fans that they maybe preparing the way for a move for Stephen Hunt who has been linked with a Premiership switch.
