"Barnsley's board due to assemble next week to discuss the way ahead for next season" Sounds like a game of mousetrap.
Also "Ben Mansford tells me all of the club's loan players apart from Peter Ramage are returning to their parent clubs #barnsleyfc"
And "Barnsley set to give "exposure" to some of the club's younger players v QPR " Let's hope operation yewtree aren't at Oakwell.
Wonder if that means Ramage could be potentially here next season? Or maybe he wants to thank the fans? Seems a top bloke anyway.
I'd love him to, but I'm sure he'll be able to find a Championship club. I think it's more likely that Ramage was the one loan player who made any difference, played for us like he'd play for his home town team and deservers the opportunity to say goodbye.
I think the difference is he's obviously much older than the others we've had - he knows he's only got a couple of years left playing at a decent level so is making the most of it, the younger ones will be earning more money than they know what to do with and think their careers will go on forever. Ramage has been brilliant though, you wouldn't have thought he was a loan player with how he has continued to support the club despite a long injury. We must not be paying for him though as surely the club would have sent him back to Palace rather than pay an injured player. We should have a good chance of keeping him though, he seems like someone who just wants to play, rather than be in the squad at a Championship club but never playing.
