    She's spent the day having blood tests, heart scan, iron infusion, a radio isotope (GFR) test to check exact kidney function, along with discussions in regards to probable kidney dialysis/transplant in the near future.

    Another reason for me to get shut of the blubber

    If I'm a match for Laura, I need to be healthy for the transplant. In these operations, the recipient will immediately feel the benefit whereas the donor tends to be somewhat under the weather, so to speak.
    It's a small price to pay.
