Generally speaking, and yes there are exceptions.

But which is the laziest profession ?

    Teachers ?

    Council workers ?

    Optometrists ?

It would have been Council workers but they don't get 36 weeks a year off and guaranteed weekends off. So it's teachers. National Curriculum my arse. STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE <img src = "http://aapt-online.dhs.org/2004_Conference/Papers/4.jpg">

And neither do they get to..............

work half days (which they are when you allow for a bit of 'marking')

    Or

Have weeks off because of a little bit of 'stress' bless...............

'teachers are lazy' - What a load of *****

teachers work damn hard, have to deal with arrogant little ******* every day who couldn't give a a damn about learning anything, who talk back the whole time, and threaten the teachers with law suits if there is even a hint of anger or contact, they have to spend most of their 'time off' planning lessons and marking work, and then they have to deal with idiots who know nothing about it sounding off that they 'lazy'.
I know several teachers, and they are ALL exceptionally hard-working, caring people who are being ground down by the system and the toe rags they have to try and teach every day.
Keeping a class of 30 rude obnoxious teenagers under control every working day is a damn sight harder than sitting on your backside in an office.

    No

I'm not, but my Dad is, and so are a few of my mates.
And yes, it does wind me up when people sound off either trying to be clever or on the basis of what they think they know, when most teachers are damn hard-working and unjustly maligned.
I'm not saying they're all great mind, I had a few cr@p ones myself at Kingstone. But thats like any job.
