This might be a stupid question, but will a US model Samsung TV work in this country?

I've found this 40" LCD 1080P TV (including 3 year parts & labour warranty) for an amazing price, for sale from a Spanish based website flogging US models in GBP, who ship to the UK.

    What about the tuner

It goes on about ATSC/Clear QAM whatever that is.

    RE: What about the tuner

Are you really going to use the tuner? Most people get their picture from a Sky box or a cable box. In which case, you're feeding a picture in through scart which isn't an issue, or HDMI, which again, shouldn't be an issue either.

Should still work. If i remember right ATSC is only the us equivalant of digital. its a switch from standard US tv to HD US tv. But the tuner will tune into digital the same. It may benefit you (but dont quote me) the US tv will be HD compatible already when Hd comes over here fully
