I don't tbh, i don't think were in a position financially to compete with wednesday or coventry, i think wednesday will panic nearer the end of the transfer window and pay over the odds for him.

Coventry? They're even more skint than we are, would not be surprised if they went into admin this season.

Even I could compete financially with Coventry

Not a pot to piss in, Watford too for that matter, said before the start of the season they'd both go down, and neither have made a good start to the season. The future's very dim for both of them.

He's not good enough, don't want him now, or next season, unless we're in Div1.

He could be good enough but he would be a gamble.

I have watched alf since his Rochdale and I my opinion he's the fox in the box
I also agree sell Hayes and take the gamble on alf

been saying that all week mi sen.. whether ALF joins i dunno. id say he is worth a punt at under 500k. if he DID continue to score at THIS level, we'd triple that fee easily.. as for Haynes, he's a goner.

Haynes needs to play in his best position. He isn't a winger.

Its no wonder he doesn't look interested with the treatment our genuine Championship players have been getting from Hill.

Hills had nothing but good words for Haynes, and hasn't Haynes played upfront in the last 2 games.

Hill's response to a question about ALF at the supporters' trust meeting suggested he wouldn't be signing him.

BBC Radio Berkshire last night had a caller saying that Reading were interested in ALF, Oh! and if you though Radio League One was bad for moaners, they have nothing on the Reading fans. every one saying they need a defender and a striker, sound familiar?????

    Re: I would sell haynes....

He kind of hinted that a League two player who had scored so many goals in the last two seasons should really have moved up the leagues by now and wondered what the problem was. He said he admired his goal scoring ability but insinuated that he wouldn't be interested...
