Walsall, Burton, and Rochdale must have half the revenue stream we have yet they have far better teams than us. People say we're skint and can't afford wages to compete yet these teams do so we're obviously doing something wrong.
It's what you're prepared to spend though. We're in limbo, owner wants out and not prepared to keep investing his dosh perhaps? Young kids on loan are definitely cheap...
Which makes the failed policy of loaning youth players from other clubs' even more baffling. The level of incompetence at the club is staggering.
So long as you keep churning out the talent, yes. I suppose when we get the Stones clause money, it'll pay for its upkeep 10 seasons over. It'd be ridiculous to get shut of the academy. What needs to happen is for those running BFC to show more faith in the kids within it. I'm not suggesting they're all going to make it, but we've had 13 loans this season already, and 90% being someone else's youth players. We've just signed another today, rather that than give one of our own kids a go apparently. So in that context, yes it's not worth it really is it?
On a crude interpretation of those figures we ought to be about half as good a team as the Blunts. So credit to everyone at the club for being better than that.
I compare our management running a football club with letting Corbyn run the economy, it's as bad as that.
Correct back to 6000 to 7000 In a 24000 seater stadium that won't look very good Might as well just open the east stand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
