If anyone wants a chuckle have a look at pork talk. The fear is that the Dingles are coming!

I never thought we’d be remotely close to the top of the league this year. In Duff we trust.

they are a remarkable bunch. threads from Saturday dedicated to wanting Moore out. currently 3rd, 2 points from automatic, 4 points from top, top form team over the last 10 games. and they went him sacked. they probably want Zidane or Tuchel. both currently out of work. or maybe poach Eddie Howe.

Be a big game when we play them at oakwell in January if we can keep up the form we are showing and that's despite losing luke Thomas and only having Cole upfront who's scoring goals. Duffs doing a great job.

I didn't realize they have the oldest squad i league one.
I thought they sorted that out over the last 2 seasons. Weds defo need some young blood...just seems they go out for experience

They've set their sights a little lower than that at Sean Dyche, but even so, I can't believe they think that's a possibility.

When they were relegated, they trimmed the wage bill and brought in a few younger players. Then in the summer just gone, they reverted to type to try and get out of the division. Just 2 of their starting 11 from Saturday were under the age of 27, one of those is only on loan.

It's a completely unsustainable model. Anyone below the Premier League needs to occasionally sell players in order to keep progressing. They've very few saleable assets despite probably the biggest wage budget in the division. Say they don't go up again this year, that's probably another £10m+ shortfall they're having to try and make up again next year. It's an absolute car crash of a business model.

Paying Bazza 28k a week and Paterson 17k a week is unsustainable never mind Gregory Stockdale Wilkes etc who won't be on peanuts.
I hope they go bust along with the rest of those clubs cheating at the expense of clubs who are trying to do things within their means, even though they probably can't compete.

I don't think it matters what over clubs do. Just got to stay in the rhythm now as long as we can.

And that's the problem because I don't believe or trust our lot. And I think we could well be selling again in January, rather than trying to buy and go for the Play offs.

Understand why you’d think that but I think we only have one really saleable asset right now, Mads Anderson. It would make no sense at all to sell him in January. We’ve a year in our favour come the summer so could probably get the same fee then. Can’t think there’s anyone else who’d attract bids from Championship clubs.

I reckon it's more likely that the board inject more equity to try and safeguard a promotion push.

But to buy, we're going to have to sell.

Lack of income from gates is a problem. Don’t think we’ll shift many half season tickets either.
I tend to agree though. So far the new board has made all the right noises, can’t see them throwing away a great opportunity that is starting to open up. 2 or 3 good loans in won’t cost much and could make all the difference. Can’t see us spending much.

We probably will be selling again in January. And if they do, it will be exactly in line with what the Club have said. I genuinely do not understand this ‘don’t trust them’ line. Never have. The owners literally said from day 1, we were in financial trouble and would need to sell players to stay afloat. They’ve continued that position at regular intervals, with major capital needing to be pumped into the Club, just to keep operating. They’ve never hidden it. What is it it that you don’t believe or trust? I would understand this view more if the Club were saying everything was rosy, but they’ve never said that.
