£8,000 per week equates to £400,000 over a year. We spent that much on Mostto. We've then got to pay Mostto's wages and he's back in Peru.

    £400k for mostto

    one goal...

and god knows how much we've spent on christensen so far for a gooad 3 hours of football from him. how much has odejayi cost upto now for 2 goals? johnson? ricketts?

In the grand scheme of things 8k a week for a keeper that is going to be first choice for the rest of the season isn't a lot when we've been pissing money up the wall all season.

    Agreed

£400k a year FFS! That's more than Prime Ministers get paid.

That's for a third choice goalie at a Championship Club. I like Steele vey much but nobody is worth that, and the club surely can't afford it either, not without upsetting its current pay structure.

Why would he be third choice?

I'm sure he'd be first choice at oakwell

The People Who Are Saying We Should Pay Steele 8K A Week.......

if it means getting him. Are you regulars to Oakwell? Our crowds simply cannot support paying someone so much money.

RE: Why would he be third choice?

He's third choice at WBA. I was referring to his status.

But we aren't signing him and sending him back to west brom

we are signing him to be our first choice keeper for the rest of the season.

I was simply referring to his current status as

a third choice keeper at West Brom - on 8k a week.

listen carefully, i'll explain it to you in simple terms

8k per week equals roughly 400k a year.

Luke Steele's performance at liverpool earned us a lot more than that.

Our crowds at oakwell have nothing to do with that money, it is money earned from the FA cup.

But I don't see what that has to do with anything. By that theory we should be paying odejayi millions because he was banging them in before we signed him

    So We Should.........

break our wage structure, to accomodate someone who could be no more than a back up when Muller returns?

So he should get more than rest of the team, or are we paying them same?

If We Agreed To His Wage Demands It Could Cause Problems

I don't think Kozluk, Howie, Muller, De Silva and Foster for example would like him being on so much more than them.

all this crap about players being upset if we pay him more than them

they aren't retarded, they know that if we have been paying 50% of his wages for the last month and that 50% has been 4k then he was on 8k.
