A crowd of just over 48.000 which is just over 1.000 more than the conference final, Poor Attendance that yesterday, If we would have got to the final i would guarantee we would have took over 30.000, hate to sound like the massive's down the a61 but its true,
I was saying the same watching it looked a poor turnout. We took over 30k to wembley and think cardiff we took 29k we have plenty of fans who come out off wood work when times are good.
That is poor. I'm sure I heard on the radio that Preston had taken around 30k which if true is very poor on Swindon's part.
I was there, it didn't really look as if there were that many more PNE fans than Swindon fans, I'd say about 60/40, the Preston fans around me were the worst sort of p1ssed up chavs imaginable and the fact that Preston Killed off the game so early made it a poor spectacle for the neutral. Today has been much better, cracking atmosphere, two well taken goals and a masterclass in how to soak up pressure without ever looking too threatened.
We had 23,000 at Cardiff in league one. Sold out wembley 35,000 for FA Cup Semi and Championship play-off final!!
23k at cardiff a thought we had more then that. Could be wrong though it has been known. dont think we are badly followed for the size ofnour town and so many seasons of relegation scraps in the championship.
To be fair; 530pm kick off on a Sunday evening, 60 odd quid for the cheapest tickets, and engineering works across the rail network that made it very difficult to get there. We'd have done well to muster 20000
The crowd was 55,000, Swansea had 32,000 (as you would expect in Wales) and we had 23,000. Not bad for a league one play-off final not at Wembley!!
33,000 and odd for Champ play off final if memory serves me reight and like you said 23,000 for Cardiff game.
Yeah we only had around 23k for our league one play off final, so I don't see why folks think we'd have taken 30k. Especially as people want to go away on holiday for bank holiday. Then after being at Wembley for a championship level play off final and an FA Cup semi final, a league one play off final after already being to Wembley twice wouldn't get the juices flowing the same so i'm sure plenty would just stay at home and watch on Sky.
