Nor is it a place for constant experiments and changes. That's what pre-season is for.

It's a Big Mister's league. Full of players trying to get to a bigger stage and maybe a shot at the big show. Have a plan - stick to the plan - give it 100% for 46 games.

Fed up of seeing us bullied and run ragged by average players who just want it that bit more.

I think we have got a plan the problem is its not a very good one and to make things worse the majority of us could see that before a ball was kicked this season. Now all the excuses have worn thin LJ has limited options because he chose to fill all his loan places with kids to supplement our kids in the summer,it looked crazy at the time and it is proving so. We have cocked up big style this season.

Logically if an experiment goes wrong, then you trash it and look at alternatives. Apparently Leejay doesn't know this, or maybe he's a one experiment man with no proverbial plan B, which sadly looks the case. A man with little or no imagination, must be a barrel of laughs to socialise with. TBH this kind of character is a follower and not a strong leader who can think on his feet which we need. Not quite sure how he got the job in the first place, maybe it was a BM friend thing, but for sure it wasn't based on his history and success as a manager elsewhere. It's sad for me to see an appointment like this which is sending the club I loved for so many years into a downward spiral to the fourth tier where I first became a supporter. And for what? The ego of a little man who can't admit he got it wrong?

Don't know what you're watching but we've tried 3 formations in last fortnight and I've seen us play both short and long ball in that period. What you're saying isn't factually accurate - Having a plan b that doesn't work isn't the same as not having a plan b.

Ah. The bbs. The last bastion of all that is true. So we should accept your analysis of all that is wrong with the manager despite you not having seen any of it and getting your facts wrong from the off?

Might turn that offer down ta.

I live in China, haven't been to a game this millennium, and I've heard we're *****.

Manager out. What's his name again? Johnstone?

i think 442 is the only formation he has played in the last 2-3 games

Agree, there wasn't a lot of chicken tikka tala , or whatever last night. It was more aimless long balls & people not wanting to have a shot & instead passing backwards, into touch, anywhere...

Sadly can only go on what I read on here mainly, so why is 4-4-2 not working then? I'm all ears

    A. Because we've not played it.

If the bbs was my sole source of information about Barnsley fc I'd be in a bad place.

Really, wasn't that my point originally, andytyke says we did play 4-4-2 in the last few games, so who to believe? You, Andy or just go by the majority vote? Seems there are different opinions as to what formation we played but the overriding theme is one up front. Bbs is a good source of information as there are some very informative people on here.

we haven't played 442 at any point

to be honest the formation is irrelevant in my book, we are not getting enough players forward when attacking

other than set pieces i can think of only one move where we had 4 men in the box & then we crossed over all their heads to the other wing (Wabara to Harris)....

Don't worry, you were half right in that we tend to switch to 4-4-2 after taking all our creative players off. Then we change again and put Winnall in midfield and Nyatanga at left back. LJ has got other plans besides plan A, the trouble is they're all ****.

See what we're struggling with? We go to every game and we haven't got a clue what's happening.

I think andytyke missed a 'not' out of his post. It's the only formation we have not played. Not a traditional 442 anyway.

But as mario says it's often difficult to work out what the hell formation we are playing, the players seem to be as confused as the fans too.
