I've recently acquired my provisional driving license, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good driving teacher? Cheers
Try this guy http://www.rightwaydrivingtuition.com/ - Dave, really nice bloke and has been doing it years. Quite a while back when I passed but I had failed the test four times, gave up for a couple of years then went with Dave and passed at the first attempt.
I'm sure one of the posters on here was a driving instructor? No idea who, I might have just made that up!
Alan Shepherd taught me to drive and lessons with him are actually enjoyable rather than a chore, used to look forward to the next lesson: http://www.192.com/atoz/business/barnsley-s70/driving-schools/alan-shepherd-school-of-motoring/a353315fa3438be4bc18b7300f11a7be93df821f/comp/
Id steer clear (excuse the pun) of 'Local' driving school mate, pissed me about for ages. My first instructor had to pack in, and local didn't sort me a replacement until the week before my test. Then my 2nd instructor wasn't fully qualified and also had to pack in shortly before my 2nd test. The 3rd instructor I had was much more competent and was so appauled by local that he decided to go independant, he got me through my test and my brother however he's also given up teaching so there's no use me giving you his number. However the best advice i can offer is avoid local.
I went with Local with Mick, passed first time with 3 minors. He taught my brother who passed with 1 minor, he was really good. I'd definitely recommend him if he's still doing it
