To Mansfield. 2yr deal. I know we never would (and he comes over as a right twonk) but that's a great L1 signing for them. Not on spreadsheet here though. And we currently have Watters, Dallas, Shaw.......
https://www.mansfieldtown.net/news/2024/may/stags-land-experienced-striker/ 35 years old and only 1 goal last season. Even on a one year contract it looks a risky singing.
Wouldn't want him no where near us. Wish people would stop berating club when we aren't signing players who are well past it!
Mansfield are welcome to him. They’re not helping themselves making signings like that, they will struggle next season.
Wasn't a knock really and to be fair I thought he was a couple of years younger than that. Even so, as a bench option not a bad one. All about opinions I guess.....
Looks like a terrible signing to me won't score 10 goals. Bristol rovers had scott simclar last season he's experienced played for City and celtic, champions league the lot would I want him here... no.
Sorry I've just re read your initial post and you didn't really slag the board off so my response was a bit OTT. So my apologies for that mate. I'm just sick of seeing people, especially on twitter and a couple on here, slate the board over rumours or something they think should happen.
In fairness I'd have taken Clarke Harris but Gregory is a bit too risky. Think we all kno the over 30 stepping back from a bigger club isn't going to be coming here....
Really surprised anyone at this level has offered him a deal tbh looks done after 30/40 mins, possibly a bit part signing just to add experience
Aged 36 soon - and one goal last season. I’d sooner keep Max Watters. Not a signing that will put too much fear up the rest of the division and certainly not one I’ll criticise our board for not making. In fact I think it would have been lunacy to have signed him.
