...no-one else seems to be keen on em, offer them short term deals, let them go if they are not pulling their weight or carry on paying them what they want if they do well.

i don't think it's out of the question to give a couple of worthy players ten grand a week on a short term contract, just to be on the safe side

Hasselbaink, not a chance - ex-international, ex-major Premiership player - he's more likely to wind up in Dubai or the K-League.

Hendrie, Agathe, possibly - I rate Agathe, I always rated him when he was at Hibs and Celtic but he's probably slowed up a bit since then...

 

None of them would come to us anyway!

I would have thought all 3 will have clubs by the start of the season and probably on a lot more than 10k a week.
