If the job was getting pissed, killing someone and running away then probably If its being a role model for young children then no chance
I'd be like most Oldham Athletic fans were. I'd not sing songs with his name in, i'd not buy a shirt with his name on the back, i'd not get his autograph at the open day etc but i'd cheer the goals he scored for us.
Served his sentence and that SHOULD be the end of it but of course condescending, people will always point the finger and forget all the things that they have done, fecking HYPOCRITES !!!!!!!
I'm not sure how its hypocritical to say that my opinion is that a man who left somebody to die in order to save his own reputation will never have served his 'sentance' in my opinion. Presumably chris corke is now a nice bloke again after serving his sentance?
Different cases though isn't it, one was a one off instance the other is simply worng! In all fairness Lee Hughes cannot change what happened in the past and for all we know he could be decent bloke who made a massive mistake and made it worse for himself either way he has served his time and is extremely fortunate if you ask me to come back to sucha aprevilaged career. Would I sign him, football reasons....No, ethical.....No but thats my opinion
I wouldnt say it was a one off incident. he drove a car while drunk, then crashed it, then chose to leave someone to die, then essentially stayed on the run till the alcohol was out of his system. it was cold and calculated and not a one off incident, it was a series of decisions
When I say one off and I do not know the exact details I mean the whole episode, this was not a regular occurance, yes there was a series of decisons but they all stem from one incident
RE: If the job was getting pissed, killing someone and running away then probably haha.. "Ok Lee, we're going to sign you on a 2 year contract worth 7k a week to be a role model." yeah ok, last time i checked he played football.
He plays football yes And children of barnsley go to watch footballers, they idolise the players on the pitch and i'm sorry if you don't agree with it but they are role models to the kids that watch them.
We don't know how many times he drove whilst over the limit Drink driving is a weird one, because many individuals STILL think that it is an OK thing to do. The only thing that is in their mind is whether they will get caught or not - as opposed to if they are going to KILL someone... So, I guess there will always be people prepared to show compassion towards people such as Lee Hughes. There but for the grace of god....
anyone getting behind the wheel drunk should be locked up Imho, because even if they havent hit anybody it could only be a matter of time until they do,
RE: Served his sentence and that SHOULD be the end of it now way should you even be able to even get out for what that twa.t did and the way he behaved afterwards
