The North of England Football Academy are delighted to announce that Bristol City Manager, Lee Johnson, has agreed to join the academy as an ambassador. He joins Port Vale manager, Rob Page as an ambassador and completes the football advisory/ambassadorial appointments for NEFA. Lee is currently enjoying a good start to his tenure at Bristol City and is one of the most exciting and highly regarded young coaches in Britain. Lee commented: "I've known Ryan and Spencer for a few years now and this is a very exciting project that i'm keen to add some value to. It also gives me a good opportunity to give something back to the game. I'm looking forward to the experiences we can give to young players, the development and education that they will get and finally, hopefully more than a few will go on to do good things in the game." NEFA Chief Executive, Ryan McKnight said: "To have someone of Lee's talent, experience and expertise is yet again another huge coup for us. We've built a fantastic educational and football team at NEFA. Couple that with the superb facility we'll be operating out of I know what i'd be keen to be doing if I was 16, 17 or 18 this summer. We want to do everything right and with the time that Lee and Rob can spare we'll be able to make sure we're keeping on the right course for the benefit of the players that come and join us." ******** King is spot on, when will he have the time to help with a northern academy when he's managing a southern team? And if he does get the time then God help the youngsters. Makes my skin crawl just at the thought of him, no,never ever mention him again and I promise I won't.
One day the real truth of who bought that beer and who then got knocked half way across the bar (Bossman) so another certain person who shall remain nameless (Whitey) could deliver that beer to Mr Johnson will come out. I'm saving it for my autobiography.
Did you hear the call from him on dee dar the week we went bottom? He stated that if we stood by Lee he would take us down Straight after Conan came on and said he agreed with the blunt. I disagreed on the grounds that no teams were dominating us in fact on a few occasions it was the opposite and the bad luck and mistakes would cease which proved to be the case. The blunt is a wind up and contradictary as I'm sure you'll know and anyone who agrees with him to try and prove their point( Conan) has a weak argument imo
